1. About this policy

This policy explains how Judah & Zoé Cleaning Services Limited, trading as Judah & Zoé Premium Cleaning Services, uses cookies and similar technologies on jzcleaning.ie. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.

2. What cookies are

A cookie is a small text file that a website places on your device when you visit. Cookies let a site remember your actions and preferences over time, and allow the site owner to understand how the site is being used. Similar technologies such as pixels and local storage work in much the same way, and this policy covers those too.

Cookies may be session cookies, which are deleted when you close your browser, or persistent cookies, which stay on your device until they expire or you delete them. They may be set by us, called first party cookies, or by another organisation whose service we use, called third party cookies.

3. The cookies we use today

At the date of the last update to this policy, this website does not set any advertising, profiling or cross site tracking cookies.

We use a small number of strictly necessary cookies and similar storage, set by our website platform. These are required to deliver the site securely, to keep it working correctly as you move between pages, and to remember the cookie choices you make on the consent banner so that you are not asked again on every visit. These cannot be switched off through the banner, because the site cannot function without them.

4. Analytics cookies

We intend to use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website, so that we can improve it. Google Analytics sets cookies, typically named _ga and _ga followed by a property identifier, which are used to tell one visitor from another and to measure how pages perform. The information generated is aggregated and used to produce reports on site usage.

Analytics cookies are not strictly necessary. They are only set where you give consent through our cookie banner, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. If you decline, no analytics cookies are placed and your visit is not measured.

Google acts as our processor for this data. You can read how Google handles information from sites that use its services at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and you can install the Google Analytics opt out browser add on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

5. Categories of cookie

  • Strictly necessary. Required for the website to function and to remember your consent choices. Always active, and exempt from the consent requirement.

  • Analytics and performance. Help us understand how the site is used so that we can improve it. Set only with your consent.

  • Functional. Remember preferences such as a chosen region or language. We do not currently use any cookies in this category.

  • Advertising and targeting. Used to build a profile of your interests and show you relevant advertising. We do not use any cookies in this category.

6. Managing your preferences

When you first visit the site you are asked to accept or decline non essential cookies. You can change your decision at any time by clearing the cookies for this site in your browser, which will cause the banner to appear again on your next visit.

You can also control cookies directly in your browser. Most browsers let you see which cookies are stored, delete them individually or all at once, and block new cookies from being set. These controls are usually found under Settings, in a section named Privacy, Privacy and security, or Cookies and site data. Please note that if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of this website may not work as intended.

7. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers can send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. There is no single agreed standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track, so this site does not currently change its behaviour in response to it. Your choice on our cookie banner is what determines whether non essential cookies are set.

We will update this policy if we add or remove cookies, or if the way we use them changes. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, so please check back from time to time.
